Research at the UW Medical Center translates to improving care options for patients. This University of Washington program shows what is going on in Dr. Clifford Hume,s lab, where researchers are exploring a biological approach to hearing restoration by stimulating regeneration of hair cells in the inner ear.     from RSCI Newsletter of November 2009 I read an announcement about the impending hearing loss treatment with stem cells. He says that in January 2010 will begin treatment (USA??). And there will be more news in the next issue. Hopefully, I at least expect more information and news!
